The background images on the help home page are taken from a design contest sponsored by Alias Systems, IBM, the Design Exchange, and ICSID.
The contest
The challenge was to explore the overall design impact of products enabled by emerging computer technologies. The designers projected themselves 5 to 10 years into the future and expressed their visions of form, function and technology in everyday objects.
The competition was open to designers and students worldwide using Alias Systems' StudioTools software. The designs were made using Alias Systems' StudioTools suite of CAID products (e.g. StudioPaint, DesignStudio, Alias Designer, Alias Studio, Auto Studio, SurfaceStudio).
