Changing the desktop display resolution while running Studio may cause Studio to crash, with or without an m.saved file, or hang (not respond).
To change desktop display resolution safely, save your file and exit from Studio before changing the resolution.

When using a high-resolution monitor, you might want to change the Speed and Acceleration settings for the mouse (Settings > Control Panel > Mouse > Motion).
On XP, only the Speed can be adjusted. However, downloading certain mouse drivers will allow you to change the acceleration setting as well. Just make sure that the option Disable acceleration in games is turned off.

Dual screen set-up with Wacom Cintiq
There are two modes for using multiple displays:
1 Two separate displays
In this mode each monitor is running a separate display, where each monitor is set to 1280x1024, for example.
2 Spanned desktop
In this mode the graphics driver interprets the two displays as one desktop, so the display resolution in this case would be 2560x1024.
When using Studio with two displays, where one display is the Wacom Cintiq, you cannot run in a spanned mode.
1 Uninstall the Wacom display driver (if you were previously using a regular Wacom tablet).
2 Connect the Wacom Cintiq to either the first or second graphics port.
3 Open the Display Properties, select the Wacom display and set it as the primary monitor.
4 Install the Wacom display driver
5 Open Settings > Control Panel > Wacom Tablet Properties and select Calibrate to align the tablet to the Cintiq display.
Note
When using a 'spanned' desktop without the Cintiq, StudioTools runs properly on both displays.

When using a spaceball to move objects around in StudioTools, image planes disappear in the front, right, and perspective views (but the image plane in the top view remains). After movement with the spaceball the images disapear and dont return.
When you use video cards that do not support overlay planes, pick boxes in an action window leave white trails.
When you use video cards that do not support overlay planes, using keyframe edit mode in the action window will cause white trails to appear.
