The following limitations have been fixed in this release of StudioTools.
For OpenModel and OpenAlias fixed limitations, see Limitations fixed.

Problems with the cursor in Studio getting stuck in one state while using third party input device have been fixed; the cursor now properly reflects the state of the software.

An error that created an extra back-slash in the path for the Plug-in manager has been fixed: plug-ins now load correctly.

StudioTools 11 m_saved wire files referenced the Temp directory for texture files; this has been corrected: m_saved.wire files created when Embedded textures are turned OFF will not lose their references.

An error that caused file references to be prefaced with two back-slashes in the path has been fixed.

When running multiple versions of Studio, the appropriate version of Spider will be launched from within the application.

Problems opening the Studio color editor from some editor windows, like the Camera editor, have been solved.

Corruption of Print Preview bookmarks caused several problems, including slow file retrievals, file bloat and crashes in Print Preview. Print Preview bookmarks now work correctly; however, retrieving Print Preview bookmarks (which were corrupt in almost all cases) from earlier versions of the software will result in them being deleted. New Print Preview bookmarks can be created, and they will perform correctly.

Corruption of Alias preferences would occur if the Alias process was terminated while preferences were being written. This has been fixed.

Surface Fillet: an error that caused extended and variable radius fillets to fail on closed surfaces has been fixed.

Surface Fillet: an error in curvature mode that created a bad network of CVs (central rows of CVs would pile up on each other) has been fixed.

Unify normals now correctly deals with closed surfaces and trimmed surfaces with multiple disjoint regions.

A crash caused by toggling Explicit Control on and off in the Advanced Tab of the Birail tool has been fixed.

A problem revealed with a corrupted file that enabled the Birail tool to attempt to build a 0 span or 0 degree surface has been fixed: 0 span or 0 degree surfaces will be checked and converted to 1 span or 1 degree.

Additional curves-on-surface generated by the tubular offset tool on surface edges are no longer created.

Intersecting surfaces where one input surface is closed and has only one span was producing incorrect results. This has been fixed.

A problem has been solved that caused Round9.0 to crash when trimming the base surface.

An error has been fixed in Unigraphics DirectConnect that caused the model's location to shift on export if annotation locators were used in StudioTools.

In StudioTools 11, Japanese IGES files could not render on XP due to an error processing Kanji characters; these files can now be rendered, however, the object names have been changed to ascii characters to enable the rendering to occur.

PLM-XML camera information now updated for Vizmockup 5.1

UGtoAl problems of dealing with a negative CV weight causing a crash have been fixed.

UGtoAl problems with annotations in UG NX1 have been resolved, and files now import into StudioTools correctly.

A problem existed in which objects were duplicated when Pro/Engineer IGES data with layers were opened in Studio Tools.
Pro/Engineer allows objects to belong to multiple layers: this is mapped to IGES entity 402 Form 7, which causes Studio Tools to duplicate the objects. This fix creates non-exclusive sets from the 402 Form 7 if the IGES file is generated by Pro/Engineer.

An error in the Multi-lister shader slider that caused StudioTools to terminate abnormally has been fixed.

For StudioTools 11, the connection between the Multi-lister Base color and Diagnostic shade was severed. For customers who want the the ability to update their diagnostic shading colors from the base colors of the assigned shaders, we have created a plug-in called assignDiagShadeColor. This can be enabled by loading the plug-in through the plug-in manager.

A problem that disabled camera or image plane picking from the camera editor has been fixed.

Diagnostic shade > Surface Evaluation > Accurate crashes on trim surfaces with multiple disjoint regions have now been fixed.

Memory leak in association with Fast mode of tesselation in diagnostic shading or Toggle Shade mode has been fixed.

Sketch transparency is now correctly recognized in the renderers.

Problem with renderers failing when clicking the "No lights in scene" confirm box have been fixed.

In certain cases when initiating a rendering you would be prompted to save the image in your wire directory. It was possible to overwrite an existing wirefile with no warning. This has been addressed.

You can now sketch in a Magnify window. However, you will have to click in the parent window to see the brush strokes updated there (and vice-versa).

Images created as textures for use in Project > Sketch are now correctly stored in the pix directory (not the wire directory).

Issues with sketched strokes (generally, created either by sketching slowly or in a zoomed-out view) that showed unwanted flat spots and inflections have been fixed, and line quality has been improved.

Interaction slowdowns caused by using curve snap with shapes, which were caused by attempts to rebuild the shapes, have been resolved.

The quality of a brush stroke when curve snapping to a shape has been improved.

Labels now display correctly for texture brushes and color swatches saved on shelves.

Crashes creating auto shapes using blend curves have been fixed.

Tesselation used for rendering shapes has now been fixed, and does not leak memory when the curves are modified.

Occasionally, parts of a cleared screen image were becoming "painted." The appearance was of tiles from an earlier version of the image painting themselves on the image, and the changes could not be undone. This problem has been solved.

Crashes caused by copying or saving geometry in the presence of shapes and multiple stages have been fixed.

Basic cursor settings in paint preferences have been restored.

The control window for Flipbook has been reinstated, and the use of the right-mouse menu has been discontinued.

Playblast on IRIX now works correctly.
The following information was inadvertently omitted from the documentation for Unigraphics DirectConnect:
To use Alias UG DirectConnect, the Unigraphics installation must include one of the following licenced options:

An error that caused some files to fail on opening has been fixed.
